# Earning SOL Through $MC Token

<figure><img src="/files/lp75FD4bmpB8S0IieiP6" alt=""><figcaption><p>Hold $MC, and you’ll earn $SOL. 80% of platform fees go back to holders</p></figcaption></figure>

**80% of Platform Fees Distributed to Holders**:

* When users conduct transactions on MEMEchan—whether it’s creators launching new tokens, fans trading tokens, or engaging in platform activities—a small fee is collected by the platform.
* The unique aspect of MEMEchan is that **80% of these platform fees are redistributed directly to $MC holders in SOL**. This means, by simply holding $MC tokens, you can passively earn **SOL** as the platform grows and more users engage in the ecosystem.
* **Pro-Rata Distribution**:
  * The rewards are distributed on a **pro-rata basis**, meaning your earnings depend on the amount of $MC you hold relative to the total supply. If you hold a larger share of $MC, you receive a bigger portion of the distributed SOL.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://memechan.gitbook.io/memechan.fun/usdmc-token/earning-sol-through-usdmc-token.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
